It’s finally here – Thanksgiving Day, the time we reflect on all that we are thankful for, and of course – eat!
This year has been particularly challenging in our house, an emotional roller coaster for sure. I’m thankful this year for our friends and family who have stood by our side through life’s ups and downs, offering warm words of comfort and encouragement when we needed it the most. I’m thankful for the hugs, the flowers, the neighborly deliveries and all the warm wishes we’ve received throughout the year. I’m thankful for the opportunities we’ve had – the ones that worked out, and the lessons we learned from the ones that didn’t. Some of the less fortunate times we’ve had this year inspired us to take the plunge and start this blog, and I’m thankful for all of you who have joined us on this culinary adventure. I’m thankful we can share our recipes and techniques with the world, and I’m ever so thankful for all the great photos and stories of the delicious food you have all shared with us, as you follow along at home and create wonderful masterpieces!
Most of all, I’m thankful for my loving husband who has been my rock in everything we have been through. They say a good partner is always with you, but a great partner is with you more so when times are tough, than when times are easy. Andrew has been there through the thick and thin this year as my companion, husband and best friend – and for that, I’m thankful.
As you enjoy your Thanksgiving day feast with family and friends, take a moment to reflect on all that you have to be thankful for this holiday season.
From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!
All my best,
Chef Matt
