Many of you know, our Friday tradition is Mexican and Margarita’s with our neighbors (shout out to Lyle, Jose, Chris and Scot) at the place down the street. Since we can’t go out, and we’re trying to keep some form of a routine, we’ve been making our own fajita’s and margs on Friday nights. So, here’s a video of me looking fat, making margaritas! Bon Appetit!
Ingredients:
1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 8 limes)
Juice from 1 freshly squeezed orange
1/2 cup good Reposado Tequila
Pinch of Salt
Grand Marnier
1 cup Granulated Sugar
1 cup Water
Directions
First, in a small sauce pot, combine the water and granulated sugar. Heat over medium-high heat and stir until the sugar just dissolves. Remove from heat and cool.
In a large pitcher, combine the lime juice, tequila, 1/2 cup of the simple syrup mixture orange juice and a pinch of salt. Mix and chill.
Fill cocktail glasses with ice and pour in the margarita mixture. Top with a splash of Grand Marnier and a wedge of lime. Gently mix and enjoy! Makes about 4 cocktails.
